OJO

OJO. Cave-Out (In Three Parts, All At Once). 45rpm record. 2011. Edition of 500.

The second release by OJO records is funded by and in conjunction with Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE). LACE commissioned OJO to produce a new performance work as part of their exhibition, "Los Angeles Goes Live" an initiative of the Getty's "Pacific Standard Time". OJO in response created, "Cave-Out (In Three Parts, All At Once)", which takes the form of a telephone performance enacted by willing participants, a 45rpm record and finally a live performance in January of 2012. The 45 record is the second step in the three part performance, as the record documents and remixes the telephone submissions that were gathered by the group over the summer of 2011. The cover is a two color screen print, produced in varying colors in an edition of 500. The image is by Joshua and Chris. Copies will be given out for free at OJO's performance of "Cave-Out" on January 26, 2012 at LACE. More information can be found HERE.
