Below is a photograph of Michigan Central Depot, the old train station for the city of Detroit. Even with all of the decay and busted out windows, you can see how magestic it must have been at one time. My grandfather noted that when he pulled into the Depot after the end of World War II and the end of his 3 years of service, he pulled into this station along with countless other troops returning home to their families and friends that the station was bursting at the seams with activity. Now its crumbling at the seams with inactivity. If you can see at the top of the structure, the graffiti reads, "SAVE THE DEPOT." I couldn't agree more.
