Here we have the Ransom Gillis House on Alfred St. in Brush Park. The Brush Park neighborhood used to be the affluent section of Detroit during the end of the 19th century. It is a Victorian House that was built in 1876. Much of Brush Park was burned to the ground following the riots of 1967, although many of the mansions still stand. The predominant sound from this area is of crickets chirping, as many of the lots where these houses once stood are now empty fields.
